Syntraiq Gateway family • retrofit data capture + AI analytics
We connect existing injection molding and CNC fleets to modern decision support. Syntraiq Gateway collects data without machine modification through USB, RS232, and industrial signals, then server-side or cloud-side AI analytics help detect cycles, anomalies, downtime patterns, and maintenance risks.
Market problem
A significant share of injection molding and CNC plants still operate machines that are 10–30 years old. These machines often have no network connectivity, do not support IoT platforms, and may rely on USB export, serial output, or physical machine-state signals.
Buying new machines is expensive. Leaving valuable production data unused is even more expensive. Syntraiq closes this gap by enabling digitalization on the existing fleet, without multi-million replacement projects or controller modifications.
Solution
The gateway behaves like a USB drive, automatically archives the machine output, and forwards the data to the server.
Using printer emulation, it captures cycle data, stores every event, and transmits it to the central system in real time.
For CNC and other legacy machines, it monitors opto-isolated state signals such as cycle end, alarm, door open, spindle running, or part pulses, and turns them into production logs.
How it works
AI alongside existing hardware
BeagleBone Black and Eddy RS232 are not new devices, but as an industrial data-capture layer that can be an advantage: known, stable, cost-effective hardware that speaks the language of legacy machines. Syntraiq’s modern value is in the processing layer above them: signals are sent to a server or cloud environment where AI models, rules, and manufacturing logic interpret them together.
“We do not turn legacy machines into modern hardware. We turn them into modern decision data.”
Noisy RS232 and GPIO signals can still reveal cycle start, cycle end, false pulses, and abnormal cycle-time changes.
The system can learn normal machine behavior and flag slowdowns, recurring stops, operator deviations, or quality-risk patterns.
Cycle time, alarm codes, machine states, temperature, or optional sensor data can make wear and maintenance needs visible earlier.
New concept: CNC
In CNC environments, the key is often not a standard data port but the safe capture of physical machine signals. Syntraiq CNC Gateway therefore builds real-time production visibility from signals such as run / stop / alarm / door open / cycle end.
The core logic is passive and safe: first observe, log, and measure, without interfering with the control system. That makes deployment faster, lower-risk, and easier to accept commercially.

Partner opportunity
Syntraiq is building a retrofit industrial gateway platform for legacy machine fleets. We are looking for a strategic or financial partner who can support product-market validation, sales growth, and international scaling not only with funding, but also with market access, execution experience, and shared momentum.

Positioning
A new machine can cost tens or even hundreds of millions of forints. Syntraiq shows how an existing machine can be upgraded for centralized data collection and integration at a fraction of that investment.
“You can digitize your existing machine for less than 1% of the price of a new one.”
